1. Payments
    • Payment can be made by Credit Card or Bank Transfer.
    • Payments by Credit Card will incur a 3% surcharge
    • A Monarch representative will be in contact with you directly in regard to your payments and bank details
  2. Security of Quote
    • The cost of your trip is secured upon your deposit.  Prior to payment of your deposit prices are subject to change.
  3. Cancellations & Refunds
    • Our passion is to provide unique hunting experiences.  Should you be unable to make the dates reserved for you in your booking, our first priority will be to rebook your trip on an alternative date.
      1. Cancellations
        • Your initial deposit is non refundable
        • Should you amend your travel details before travel there will be a one off fee of NZD$1,000 per person plus the difference of any tour fees / costs.
        • For cancellation notified more than 31 days prior to arrival: The full balance minus the non-refundable deposit + 3% credit card fee
        • Cancellation notified 31 days or less prior to arrival: No refund
        • The cost of your trip is secured once the deposit has been received.  Until this time, costs may fluctuate according to supplier
        • The hunting contract is considered complete on animals harvested or wounded.
      2. Refunds
        • Monarch costs are in NZD and refunds across borders may incur an exchange rate variance.
        • Monarch accepts no liability for these variances or any subsequent credit card/bank charges relating to these transfers.
        • Any refunds will be at the rate agreed upon minus the non-refundable deposit + 3% credit card fee
        • We highly recommend you taking full comprehensive insurance that covers all aspects travel, and game/trophy hunting.
  4. Liability & Insurance
    • Hunting isn’t without risk and your safety is our primary concern.  In booking with Monarch, you accept that you must obey your guide at all times.
    • All activities, hunting or otherwise are undertaken at your own risk.  You will be required to sign an indemnity form at your initial meeting with your Monarch Guide.
    • We do not accept any responsibility for weather conditions out of our control which have a direct effect on the success of your hunt.
    • Monarch Pursuits shall not be liable for any damage, losses and expenses suffered by any client as a result of sickness, quarantine, weather conditions, war, strikes, riots or any other cause outside our control.
    • Monarch Pursuits accepts no liability in respect of death ,injury, loss or damage to person or property arising out of any act, omission or negligence.
    • The client shall be deemed to have waved, renounced and abandoned any and all right or entitlement which the client may be entitled to under the provisions of the law of the New Zealand for any loss or damage to person or property.
    • Monarch Pursuits shall not be liable for any loss or damage to person or property, cancellation or curtailment of the hunting safari however caused, save only to the extent that such loss of baggage, cancellation or curtailment was caused by Monarch Pursuits negligence.
    • If sickness or accident interrupts a safari, Monarch Pursuits shall not be liable for any cost or expense arising there from, save only to the extent that such sickness or accident was caused by the Monarch Pursuits wilful act or gross negligence.
    • Monarch Pursuits, its suppliers and operator shall not be liable for any refund, either total or partial, of client money paid.
    • We suggest you acquire comprehensive travel insurance which specifically covers Travelling, Adventure Activates, & Hunting abroad in order to protect you against such eventuality.
  5. Risks & Weather
    • We do not accept any responsibility for weather conditions out of our control which have a direct effect on the success of your hunt.  Hunting is an active outdoor pursuit and as such you accept that we will hunt in all conditions that the Guide deems safe.  No refund will be given for hunts that do not eventuate in a trophy. 
    • Your safety is our primary concern and every precaution is taken to ensure your hunt is successful within a safe hunting environment.  On paying your deposit you accept our Terms and Condition’s and full responsibility that you will undertake your travel, excursions, hunt and all associated inherent activities at your own risk.
    • We do not accept responsibility adverse conditions that affect the hunt or cause delays arising from breakage or damage to hunting vehicles and or air charter availability. The company will not be responsible for any delays, losses, accidents, illnesses, death, damages or injury from such occurrences(s), before, during or after your itinerary.
  6. Suppliers, Contractors & Operators
    • In many cases Monarch Pursuits Limited will acts as a booking agent in arranging accommodation, transport (air, land and sea), guides, chef’s and other independent Suppliers, Contractors and Operators (such as photographers ) when required. Each of these ‘companies’ is an independent operation with its own management and is not subject to the control of Monarch Pursuits Limited. Monarch Pursuits Limited is therefore not liable for any personal injury or property damage, which may arise from the use of these Suppliers, Contractors and Operators
  7. Trophy Handling
    • Trophies are handed over to a trusted local Taxidermist who will liaise directly with you to ensure your trophy is packaged and sent to your desired location.  At this point Monarch ceases to have any control of the trophies and accepts no responsibility for any damage (or loss) to the trophy during taxidermy, or its subsequent journey to your specified location.  It is the responsibility of the client to obtain insurance to cover any damage or loss to the crate/packaging and its contents.
  8. Helicopter
    • In most cases helicopter rates are negotiated directly between yourself and our station operators and may be subject to small changes based on fluctuating international fuel costs.
  9. Passports and Visas
    • We will assist or advise you with pertinent information regarding passports, visas, gun permits and international health requirements. It is however the responsibility of the client to ensure that all necessary documents, certificates, permits and inoculations be obtained.
  10. Tips and Gratuities
    • While tipping is not normal practice in the hospitality industry in NZ, we encourage rewarding our guides for delivering an exceptional experience.  There is no set guidelines for this, but we suggest between NZD$50 and $100 per day.
  11. Inclusions & Exclusions
    • For a full list of inclusions please refer to your booking confirmation for detailed information.  Please be advised that meals, tours, transfers and activities are only included when specifically detailed as an inclusion.  All other meals, tours, transfers, accommodation, activities & hunting are at your own cost.
      1. Exclusions:
        • All airfares (can be arranged on request)
        • Additional animal trophies, or any additional upgrade to your tour before, during or after your departure
        • All taxidermy charges and costs, taxes and levies
        • Shipping of any part, whole or otherwise, of the beast
        • Tips and gratuities
  12. Conditions
    • Due to the nature of travel and hunting in New Zealand, rates and conditions are subject to change. Monarch Pursuits New Zealand reserves the right to alter and change any of the above conditions without prior notice
